Lorelei Pfautz
Executive Director

Lorelei is the Executive Director of Friendly House. She has worked at the agency for 23 years. She has a BA in Social Work from Eastern Nazarene College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from St. Ambrose University. Lorelei is married, has a daughter, two sons, son-in law, daughter in law, and two grandsons. All children and families live and work in the Chicago area.

Terry Hendershott
Assistant Director

Terry has been the Assistant Director of Friendly House for eleven years. He obtained his Masters in Youth and Human Service Administration from the University of Northern Iowa, and his undergraduate degree in Sociology from William Penn College. Terry has a wife and four children.

Lisa Corrigan
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Supervisor

Lisa graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education.  She has spent approximately 20 years in the childcare field.  She has worked in centers as a teacher, coordinator, and director. She has also worked behind the scenes in support services, like running programs such as CACFP in centers and home-providers, and assisting families with finding subsidy to assist with childcare tuition. Lisa and her husband, Kevin, live in Rock Island.

Andi Engler
Youth Services Supervisor

Andi has worked at Friendly House for six years. As the Youth Services Supervisor, she oversees the Early Learning, After School, Summer Day Care, and Teen Center programs. She graduated in 2002 from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Leisure Services: Programming Administration, and a Certificate in Tourism.

Linnea Farrell
Early Childhood Specialist

Linnea has been with the Friendly House family for eleven years. She is an Early Learning Specialist, being the lead teacher of our preschool program. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education & Special Education. Linnea is also licensed by State of Iowa to teach ages Birth through Kindergarten. She has four children and three grandchildren.

Maralyn Fries
Accounting Supervisor

Maralyn has been an employee of Friendly House for 32 years as the Accounting Supervisor, managing all of the accounting for the agency. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She is married, has a son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.

Alice Hofer
CACFP Administrative Assistant

Alice has worked at Friendly House for 5 years. Alice provides program support for the CACFP program assisting with training, monitoring, and meal reimbursement for in-home daycare providers. Alice has an Associates Degree from Clinton Community College and is a Certified Dietary Manager. She has a husband, and enjoys spending time with her step-daughter and their family.

Mikael Gibson
Marketing and Development Supervisor

Mikael joined Friendly House in Fall 2010 as the Marketing and Development Supervisor. She has a background in program and fund development. She has a Bachelors in Social Work from Concord University, and a Masters in Public Adminstration from Drake University. She enjoys running trail races and spending time with her four children.

Sylvia Lowe
Friendly Kid’s Corner Director

Sylvia has been the director at Friendly Kid's Corner since June, 2007. She received her AAS degree in Early Education from Scott Community College. She has been given the National Administrator Credential by the National Child Care Association. She has four wonderful children that she enjoys spending time with.

Lynda Parks
Senior Services Administrative Assistant

Lynda has been with Friendly House 2 years. Lynda comes from a large family, five sisters and two brothers. She is a twin. Lynda worked for Eagles's for over 30 years, then worked at Hy-Vee until she retired last year. Lynda says retirement was "not for her" as she likes to keep busy. Lynda enjoys playing racquetball, volleyball, baseball and working in her yard.

Renee Rankin
Administrative Services Supervisor

Renee has worked at Friendly House for over 25 years. She administers the Childcare Scholarship and Preschool Scholarship Programs, and handles building rentals. Renee attended the University of Iowa. She has a husband, two daughters, a son-in-law and three grandchildren.

Family and Senior Services Supervisor

Jodi has been with the Friendly House family for five years. She oversees both the Family Services and Senior Services. She recieved her Masters in Social Work from St. Ambrose University and her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. Jodi has a husband and three children.

Roger Viernow
Support Services Supervisor

Roger has worked at Friendly House for nine years. He oversees all aspects of our facilities and maintenance needs. He attended Scott Community College and Blackhawk College during his Patternmaker Apprenticeship. He is a lifetime resident of Rock Island where he lives with his wife and three children.
