If you are a resident of Scott County, working, attending school, or become recently unemployed and looking for work, and do not
qualify for any other childcare assistance, the Scott County Kids Early Childhood Iowa Birth - 24 Month Scholarship
Program may help pay childcare costs.
With funding by Scott County Kids Early Childhood Iowa, the program is designed
to help families with a portion of their childcare expenses. Parents must
choose a licensed or registered provider who is on the approved daycare provider list. Providers must qualify to provide day care with this program. The program is administered by Friendly House.
Eligibility Requirements
- Reside in Scott County
- Ineligible for any other child care program
- Work, attend school (or in combination) 28 hours or more per week, or recently become unemployed
- Secure a licensed or registered provider
- Eligible children include birth - 24 months
The program pays a portion of the childcare costs. The parent is responsible for the remaining childcare costs.
