- Welcome To Our House -

"To respond to the needs of families and individuals through programs and services that will enrich their lives and strengthen our neighborhoods."

Established in 1896 as part of the settlement movement, Friendly House today still adheres to its original philosophy of providing support and resources to neighborhoods. Our collaborative model of partnership with schools, businesses, churches and other service agencies brings needed services to the community. Friendly House is a strong advocate of working "within" neighborhoods, as opposed to forcing change from outside. Friendly House provides resources to meet the most basic needs, plus opportunities for self-development and self-determination. Through education, equal opportunity and neighborhood services, Friendly House strengthens and enriches families and individuals.
