Lorelei Pfautz Family Fund (LPFF) Guidelines
The Family Services Department will be responsible to meet with all the clients who seek help from the LPFF. The staff will work with the client to see what the need is, why the need exists and how the need can be addressed. A file will be kept on each client.
General Guidelines
No funds will be given for legal assistance (bail bond, traffic ticket, etc.)
No funds will be given for utility assistance
Exceptions to the above guidelines can be made with the approval of the Executive Director.

Lorelei Pfautz Family Fund (LPFF) Guidelines
The Family Services Department will be responsible to meet with all the clients who seek help from the LPFF. The staff will work with the client to see what the need is, why the need exists and how the need can be addressed. A file will be kept on each client.
General Guidelines
- Client’s household must be a resident of Scott County to receive any type of assistance.
- Clients must have proof of ID and a piece of current mail to receive services
- Maximum amounts of LPFF funds to be given each month will not exceed $320
- Maximum amount of LPFF funding to be given will not exceed $75 per year per household.
- A household can receive a maximum of two Family Service Resources in a month, including LPFF and Goodwill vouchers.
- If check/voucher is lost, unused or stolen, it will not be reissued by Friendly House staff.
- Clients who request assistance for gasoline must be in need of transportation for medical appointments to Iowa City. Clients must go to Golden Mart at 1026 W. River Drive.
- Gas vouchers must be used within two days of issuance.
- Maximum amount to be given will be $25.
- Can request up to three times per year.
- Maximum amount requested per year not to exceed $60.
- Clients who request assistance for washing clothes will receive a voucher to be used at Sanitary Suds Laundromat 115 W. locust Street.
- Amount will not exceed $11.75 unless extenuating circumstances such as fire or flood.
- Clients who request assistance for medical reasons such as medication or supplies.
- Amount will not exceed $20.
- Clients who request assistance for a general need will be evaluated by request and need. Maximum amount to be given will not exceed $20.
- Social need could include
- Funding to obtain a photo ID from the Department of Transportation.
- Funding to obtain a copy of birth certificate for self or child.
