Children four to five years old are invited to participate in this organized early educational program. Four and five year olds attend Monday - Friday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A doctor’s physical and immunization record are required for all students. School begins late August and continues through the end of May. Friendly House offers scholarship opportunities, which makes the program affordable for all families.

Friendly House announces their sponsorship of CACFP within our Preschool Program. Meals are available at no separate charge to enrolled children/adults in the Preschool Program.
It is the policy of Friendly House to provide services to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, ancestry, familial status, marital status, age physical disability, mental disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and any other class that is protected by federal, state or local law. Eligibility for the program is based on a first come first served basis and the availability of a space for the child in the program.
The regulations provide that people who feel that they or others have been the object of discrimination by a child care center, contrary to the provisions of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Public Law 88-352), as amended, and regulations of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (45 Code of Federal Regulations--Part 80), may file a complaint. All complaints will be investigated and appropriate action taken when indicated. Inquiries should be directed to the Iowa Civil Rights Commission at (515) 281-4121.
